A compelling new study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism has found that a daily dose of a novel form of turmeric extract (curcumin) significantly improved the functional state of the blood vessels of healthy adults within two months.

The randomized, controlled, double-blind parallel prospective study involved fifty-nine healthy adults who were assigned to either a placebo, 50?mg (50?mg), or 200?mg (200?mg) curcumin, for 8 weeks.

The study provided background on what is believed to be a primary underlying cause of cardiovascular disease, namely, the inability of the inner lining of blood vessels (endothelium) to dilate fully as a consequence of mostly symptomless damage that can start early in life:

“Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are often asymptomatic and can begin as early as childhood [1]. A putative mechanism leading to CVD is damage to the vascular endothelium, a monolayer of cells which releases antiatherosclerotic molecules, most notably including nitric oxide [2]. Endothelial function can be measured as a decreased flow-mediated dilation (FMD) response, using occlusion of the brachial artery and the subsequent dilation response as an indicator of vascular function [1, 3]. Lifestyle behaviours which enhance antioxidative status and preserve nitric oxide bioavailability may protect against endothelial dysfunction [4–6].” […]

Ron DeSantis Hints at Passing an Open Carry Bill in Florida’s 2025 Legislative Session https://americanpoliticalreport.com/ron-desantis-hints-at-passing-an-open-carry-bill-in-floridas-2025-legislative-session/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/ron-desantis-hints-at-passing-an-open-carry-bill-in-floridas-2025-legislative-session/#respond Fri, 15 Nov 2024 15:34:25 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/ron-desantis-hints-at-passing-an-open-carry-bill-in-floridas-2025-legislative-session/ Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just hinted at the possibility of open carry legislation coming before Florida lawmakers in the upcoming 2025 legislative session.

In an interview with radio host Bob Rose on Nov. 4, Rose brought up his preference for open carry, the wearing or carrying of a firearm in a visible manner, over other potential legislative initiatives, specifically referencing Amendment 3 – a recently proposed ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana that failed to pass.

“I’d much rather have open carry than weed, but that’s just me, governor,” Rose said. In response, DeSantis hinted that open carry could indeed be on the table. “You may get that in this upcoming legislative session, stay tuned on that.” Rose, seemingly enthused, added, “I’ll hold you to it if I get the chance, governor.”

With Republican supermajorities in both chambers of Florida’s legislature, 28-12 in the State Senate and 85-35 in the State House, the pathway appears open for such a measure to be seriously considered, especially with a Republican governor. (Related: OPEN CARRY transforms into OPEN TYRANNY in Virginia as judge rules Second Amendment null and void in state capitol.)

Gun rights advocates argue that passing open carry would improve Florida’s standing among gun-friendly states because, despite its reputation as a conservative stronghold, Florida currently does not allow open carry. In fact, Florida ranks 22nd in Guns & Ammo magazine’s list of best states for gun owners. Additionally, Florida’s stance aligns with a handful of states with stricter gun control policies, including California, Connecticut and Illinois. […]

Pfizer Knew About Serious Adverse Events Linked to COVID-19 Vaccines but Pushed the Jabs on the World Anyway https://americanpoliticalreport.com/pfizer-knew-about-serious-adverse-events-linked-to-covid-19-vaccines-but-pushed-the-jabs-on-the-world-anyway/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/pfizer-knew-about-serious-adverse-events-linked-to-covid-19-vaccines-but-pushed-the-jabs-on-the-world-anyway/#respond Tue, 05 Nov 2024 09:25:07 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/pfizer-knew-about-serious-adverse-events-linked-to-covid-19-vaccines-but-pushed-the-jabs-on-the-world-anyway/ There is growing evidence that Pfizer was well aware that its COVID-19 vaccines were risky when they pushed them on the world and brought in record profits.

One document that has been getting a lot of attention on social media is the drug maker’s “Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports of PF-07302048 (BNT162B2) Received Through 28-Feb-2021”, with the numbers referring to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. It contains cumulative post-authorization safety data. The document notes that Pfizer’s safety database records adverse events that are reported to the manufacturer, published in medical literature, and reported by health authorities, among other sources.

It contains a chart showing some of the most commonly reported adverse events following vaccination, and the top classifications were general disorders, nervous system, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and skin related, although cardiac, vascular, psychiatric and many other categories also appeared. When it came to events reported in more than 2% of cases, tachycardia, myalgia, nausea, fatigue and numerous others were listed.

There was also a shockingly long list of adverse events of special interest (AESI), which are medical concerns specific to a vaccine or medication that require close monitoring during and after clinical trials. Rather than serving as an official list of side effects, its purpose is safety surveillance, but the fact that there are so many of them should give everyone serious pause.

The appendix contains a full NINE pages of adverse events of special interest. It is so lengthy that it might have been easier for them to list the side effects they weren’t concerned about monitoring. […]

Reclaim your health: How midlife exercise reverses years of inactivity https://americanpoliticalreport.com/reclaim-your-health-how-midlife-exercise-reverses-years-of-inactivity/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/reclaim-your-health-how-midlife-exercise-reverses-years-of-inactivity/#respond Fri, 01 Nov 2024 02:35:02 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/reclaim-your-health-how-midlife-exercise-reverses-years-of-inactivity/ A recent study by researchers at the University of Sydney in Australia has found that midlife exercise can help adults maintain a high quality of life and promotes longevity.

The importance of midlife exercise

The study, published in PLOS Medicine, emphasizes that starting an exercise routine in midlife can significantly improve lifespan and health outcomes. This research tracked over 11,000 women as part of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health (ALSWH), providing valuable data over many years.

The findings show that regular exercise during midlife (ages 40-50) is linked to better physical health in later years, including increased strength, a lower risk of falls and better cardiovascular health. Notably, even women who weren’t active in their younger years experienced significant benefits from exercising in their 50s. This suggests that it’s never too late to adopt healthy habits and improve one’s health trajectory.

“Our research indicates that to maintain a good physical health-related quality of life around age 70, individuals can potentially compensate for a lack of earlier activity by becoming active in their mid-50s,” the researchers explained. […]

Nature’s multivitamin: Barley grass helps protect the body from numerous diseases https://americanpoliticalreport.com/natures-multivitamin-barley-grass-helps-protect-the-body-from-numerous-diseases/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/natures-multivitamin-barley-grass-helps-protect-the-body-from-numerous-diseases/#respond Sun, 27 Oct 2024 14:07:23 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/natures-multivitamin-barley-grass-helps-protect-the-body-from-numerous-diseases/ Barley grass, sometimes called “barley greens,” comes from the same plant that gives us barley grain – Hordeum vulgare – but it is harvested long before the grind is ready to grow. It is a bright green grass, packed with antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals.

It is “nature’s multivitamin.” Barley grass is also considered a “functional food,” which means it doesn’t just feed your body – it also helps protect it from diseases. (Related: Barley goes from ancient grain to whole grain: New “buck naked” hull-free variety has higher nutrition for uses in food, feed, brew.)

Barley grass is being researched for its role in helping prevent chronic illnesses and even in supporting the body’s healing process. By including functional foods like barley grass in your diets, you may improve your quality of life and reduce the risk of developing diseases.

Take a look at what makes barley grass so special.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants are your body’s defense against molecules called “free radicals.” These molecules come from cigarette smoke, environmental pollution, processed foods and even stress. Left unchecked, free radicals can cause damage to your cells – leading to inflammation and diseases like cancer and heart disease. Barley grass is loaded with antioxidant vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and polyphenols, which help neutralize these free radicals and protect your body from harm. […]

OpenAI wants to build data centers that consume MORE POWER than the entire United Kingdom https://americanpoliticalreport.com/openai-wants-to-build-data-centers-that-consume-more-power-than-the-entire-united-kingdom/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/openai-wants-to-build-data-centers-that-consume-more-power-than-the-entire-united-kingdom/#respond Sat, 26 Oct 2024 16:23:29 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/openai-wants-to-build-data-centers-that-consume-more-power-than-the-entire-united-kingdom/ Artificial intelligence (AI) firm OpenAI wants to build data centers that consume more power than the whole United Kingdom.

The company behind ChatGPT pitched the idea during a meeting with U.S. officials at the White House, with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and other tech leaders in attendance. OpenAI proposed building five to seven data centers in various U.S. states.

When completed, each of these data centers would need five gigawatts (GW) of electricity to operate. “To put that in context, five GW is roughly the equivalent of five nuclear reactors, or enough to power almost three million homes,” Bloomberg News pointed out.

“The startup shared a documents with government officials outlining the economic and national security benefits of building data centers, based on an analysis the company engaged with outside experts on. OpenAI said investing in these facilities would result in tens of thousands of new jobs, boost the gross domestic product and ensure the U.S. can maintain its lead in AI development, according to the document. To achieve that, however, the U.S. needs policies that support greater data center capacity.”

A spokesperson for the San Francisco-based OpenAI provided a statement to Bloomberg News, saying: “OpenAI is actively working to strengthen AI infrastructure in the U.S., which we believe is critical to keeping America at the forefront of global innovation; boosting reindustrialization across the country; and making AI’s benefits accessible to everyone.” […]

Lasers Could Be the Military’s Most Effective Weapon Against Drones https://americanpoliticalreport.com/lasers-could-be-the-militarys-most-effective-weapon-against-drones/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/lasers-could-be-the-militarys-most-effective-weapon-against-drones/#respond Mon, 21 Oct 2024 00:26:25 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/lasers-could-be-the-militarys-most-effective-weapon-against-drones/ The United States Army has managed to bring down hostile drones in the Middle East using lasers. While the move is seen by many as closer to science fiction than reality, many countries are now utilizing laser technology for military use.

The role of lasers will probably be limited due to their huge energy needs, restricted range and problems with bad weather, but militaries believe that the latest laser weapons could prove to be powerful tools for shooting down drones. These tools are now essential for modern combat, as militaries search for low-cost ways to counter the rapid spread of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in battlefields.

Laser weapons fire highly concentrated beams of light that release intense heat to their target. The beams, which travel at the speed of light, penetrate metal to destroy engines, fuel tanks, electronics and other critical parts of a target. Lower-intensity beams can be used to blind a drone’s sensors and cameras.

“The old adage that lasers were five years from being amazing and always will be, that is changing. Lasers for counter-drone [warfare] may have met their moment,” said Doug Bush, the U.S. Army’s assistant secretary for acquisitions, logistics and technology.

According to Bush, the U.S. has successfully deployed lasers at diverse places in the Middle East to shoot down UAVs. […]

Harvard Lied: Data Shows Nearly 14,000 U.S. Minors Were “Transitioned” (i.e. Mutilated) To LGBT Between 2019 and 2023 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/harvard-lied-data-shows-nearly-14000-u-s-minors-were-transitioned-i-e-mutilated-to-lgbt-between-2019-and-2023/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/harvard-lied-data-shows-nearly-14000-u-s-minors-were-transitioned-i-e-mutilated-to-lgbt-between-2019-and-2023/#respond Wed, 16 Oct 2024 12:40:01 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/harvard-lied-data-shows-nearly-14000-u-s-minors-were-transitioned-i-e-mutilated-to-lgbt-between-2019-and-2023/ New research by the public advocacy group Do No Harm has found that between the years of 2019 and 2023, a total of 13,994 minors across the United States received “gender-affirming care,” which for more than 5,700 of them included body butchery in the form of transgender surgery.

Debunking a Harvard University study from back in June that claims there is “little to no utilization of gender-affirming surgeries by transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) minors in the U.S.,” Do No Harm’s research proves once and for all that LGBT perversion has reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of the innocence being targeted by its doctrines.

Millions of American children these days are being bombarded day in and day out with LGBT perversion at school, in media and online. Many of these kids end up believing the lies they are told by their teachers, politicians and Hollywood actors about the gender “spectrum,” prompting them to lob off body parts and take hormone-destroying pharmaceuticals in order to become their “true selves.”

After analyzing insurance claims filed nationwide, Do No Harm found that 5,747 unique patients received gender-affirming surgery, which includes things like mastectomies and genital reassignment. A whopping 8,519 minors were prescribed puberty blockers and / or hormone replacement therapy during this same time period, which all in all saw more than 60,000 total prescriptions written for LGBT transitioning drugs.

The total amount of all insurance claims filed between 2019 and 2023 for “gender-affirming care” was found to be $119 million. Do No Harm put together a searchable database that parents can use to see what more than 225 hospitals across the country have been doing to underage youth in recent years. […]

Portable generator manufacturer Generac reporting critically low stocks following two hurricanes https://americanpoliticalreport.com/portable-generator-manufacturer-generac-reporting-critically-low-stocks-following-two-hurricanes/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/portable-generator-manufacturer-generac-reporting-critically-low-stocks-following-two-hurricanes/#respond Wed, 16 Oct 2024 05:42:10 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/portable-generator-manufacturer-generac-reporting-critically-low-stocks-following-two-hurricanes/ The widespread devastation and massive power outages caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the Southeastern United States have driven portable generator sales higher and supplies to critically low levels.

Major manufacturer of backup power generation products Generac Holdings Inc., based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin, is running low on portable backup generators after Hurricanes Helene and Milton knocked out power for millions of Americans. (Related: Hurricane Milton reached CAT 5 status – the last time there was a hurricane this strong barreling towards Florida was pre-Civil War.)

Many of the company’s portable products sold out after Helene tore through the U.S., according to Generac Chief Executive Officer Aaron Jagdfeld. “The more outages that are occurring and the more they are happening, then the more interest grows in our product,” Jagdfeld said during an interview.

The company’s biggest challenge was getting portable generator products on shelves in between storms. “If it’s not there yet, it probably isn’t going to get there until a couple days after landfall,” Jagdfeld said.

Generac, one of the biggest U.S. generator companies, also sells a home standby generator that is not portable. […]

Healing and Culinary Legacy of Onions https://americanpoliticalreport.com/healing-and-culinary-legacy-of-onions/ https://americanpoliticalreport.com/healing-and-culinary-legacy-of-onions/#respond Sat, 12 Oct 2024 16:31:44 +0000 https://americanpoliticalreport.com/healing-and-culinary-legacy-of-onions/ Cultivated for over 5,000 years, onions were likely a staple in prehistoric diets long before the advent of agriculture or written records. Their long shelf life and adaptability made them an essential food source, capable of thriving in diverse climates and soils.

In ancient Egypt, onions were more than just a dietary staple – they held deep spiritual meaning. Onions were often buried with pharaohs and depicted in tombs, with many mummies discovered entombed with onions placed strategically. This suggests that they were believed to possess magical or protective qualities, perhaps to aid in the afterlife.

Onions also make appearances in biblical texts, highlighting their significance in the diets of the Israelites during the Exodus. Ancient Indian texts praise onions for their medicinal properties, while the Greeks and Romans valued them for both culinary and therapeutic purposes – using them to strengthen athletes and treat various ailments.

Healing legacy of onions

Onion contains chemicals that helps reduce swelling and lung tightness related to asthma. It also contains chemicals that helps reduce cholesterol and lower blood sugar. People use onion to prevent scarring. It is also used for hair loss, insomnia and high blood pressure. […]
