The election-related court rulings are coming in fast and furious in these waning hours of the 2024 race. One such ruling was handed down Monday afternoon by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Angelo Foglietta regarding the million-dollar-a-day sweepstakes promoted by Elon Musk and his America PAC.
As RedState reported previously, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed a lawsuit last Monday asserting that the giveaway was an “illegal lottery scheme.” Musk’s attorneys then sought leave to remove the case to federal court (a standard defense move). However, the federal court declined to accept the case and granted Krasner’s motion to remand the case to the Court of Common Pleas.
Following a hearing earlier Monday, Foglietta issued his ruling in the matter.
