National Men’s March, a peaceful event founded by Catholic show host Jim Havens and retired Catholic priest Stephen Imbarrato, rallied against abortion and promote personhood in Boston outside Planned Parenthood on Nov. 16. However, over 350 counter-protestors clad in colorful costumes and wigs from a group known as “Clown March” met the pro-life demonstrators who were dressed in suits and holding rosaries.

House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA)’s child, who was born a woman but now identifies as “Jared” Dowell, was one of the hundreds of counter-protestors who incited a violent riot.

According to a Boston Police report, tensions flared as the two groups converged, with shouting, jeering and physical confrontations intensifying. The counter-protesters even blocked the path of the National Men’s March, which prompted officers to issue multiple orders to disperse.

“Superintendent Cahill ordered the large group several times to end their unlawful, riotous, tumultuous assembly,” the Boston Police Department’s report read. However, the report added that “the crowd refused all orders and continued their tumultuous behavior,” so officers moved to clear a path for the march.

“This unruly crowd collectively began pushing back at officers, elevating their disorderly and unlawful activity to assaultive,” the police report further reads. “This crowd created an extremely hazardous and offensive condition for officers and the individuals of the Men’s Rights Group who were attempting to pass by. After an exhaustive effort, officers were able to eventually gain enough control to allow the march to proceed through Kenmore Square and towards their destination.”

But despite all the attempts to de-escalate the situation without arrests, officers resorted to detaining individuals who “refused to peacefully disperse” and engaged in “assaultive behavior.

Dowell, along with 17 other counter-protestors, were arrested and arraigned on Dec. 2 on charges of interfering with lawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

Dowell previously involved in another violent protest

This is not the first time Dowell was involved in politically-motivated behavior that resulted in an arrest.

In January 2023, Dowell was arrested for assaulting a police officer. Dowell struck Boston Police Officer Daniel Roca in the face during an anti-police protest at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common. Dowell was arrested on the spot and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and vandalizing a monument.

At that time, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office – which handles cases in Boston – dismissed the case after Dowell completed 30 hours of community service, reimbursed the city for cleaning the graffiti Dowell helped spray at the monument during the protest, wrote an apology letter to the police officer struck and went to mandated individual therapy.

Dowell had also completed a community-based program and stayed away from the Boston Common for a year.

Most of the tit-for-tat actions over the past couple years have focused on mutual accusations of spying. Currently, Poland is threatening to shutter all Russian consulates on Polish soil over espionage and ‘terrorism’.

On Thursday Russia ordered the closure if the Polish consulate in St. Petersburg and told its diplomats to immediately leave the country, in the latest escalation.

“Three diplomatic staff members of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in St. Petersburg have been declared persona non grata,” the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.

This move is being described as in retaliation for the prior closure of a Russian consulate in the Polish city of Poznan in the western part of the NATO country. The Kremlin has further cited Poland’s “openly hostile policy” toward Moscow as a reason behind the move.

Poland and EU states have accused Moscow of “intimidation, the instrumentalization of migrants, sabotage, disinformation, foreign information manipulation and interference.”

As for a potential new response from the Polish government, a statement has warned:

“If acts of diversion and terrorism continue, I will close down the rest of the Russian consulate presence in Poland,” Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told reporters after Moscow announced the closure of its St. Petersburg consulate.

On the military front, some Polish top officials have recently argued that the country’s military should be actively intercepting Russian missiles threatening Ukrainian territory, especially ones that fly close to Poland’s border in the region of Western Ukraine.

Poland has generally been among the most hawkish Western allies when it comes to escalating support to Kiev forces in Ukraine.

Business leaders globally are worried about the risk of recession, labour shortages and rising inflation, despite some signs of improvement in economic conditions, a World Economic Forum survey said on Thursday.

Extreme weather events are an increasing concern, following a year of record temperatures, severe flooding and wildfires, including in major economies such as Brazil, Germany, Indonesia and the United States, according to the survey of more than 11,000 business leaders from G20 countries.

When asked to rank the top risks that they are facing over the next two years, business leaders actually ranked economic downturn number one…

Economic downturn is seen as the top risk for business leaders over the next two years, followed by labour and/or talent shortages and then inflation. Poverty and inequality ranked fourth, and extreme weather events came in fifth, the survey showed.

Business leaders tend to be relatively optimistic compared to the population as a whole, and so these results kind of surprised me.

Of course to many of us living in the United States, economic conditions are already so bad that it feels like a recession has already begun…

In August, roughly 60% of Americans said they believed the U.S. was in a recession, according to a survey from Affirm. Further, in October, more than half of Americans said they were worse off than they were four years ago, according to a Gallup poll.

If you are doing better than you were four years ago, you should consider yourself to be incredibly blessed.

Because the cost of living has been rising faster than paychecks have been, and so for most of us our standard of living has been steadily going down.

The Biden administration keeps telling us that inflation is under control, but the truth is that core consumer prices have risen for 53 months in a row…

The inflation story is far from over… no matter what The Fed or The White House claims…

For the 53rd straight month, core consumer prices rose on a MoM basis in October with the YoY pace re-accelerating to +3.33%…

Once upon a time, I actually enjoyed going to the grocery store.

But now it is so painful.

When I get to the register, I feel like asking the cashier what organ I should sell in order to pay for my groceries.

Sadly, we have reached a point where more Americans than ever are just barely scraping by from month to month. In fact, Bank of America is telling us that the proportion of the U.S. population that is living paycheck to paycheck rose by 12 percent from early 2022 to the second half of 2024…

However you define “paycheck to paycheck,” more of us seem to be living that way.

In the Bank of America surveys, the share of consumers who said they lived from paycheck to paycheck has gradually risen, from about 35% in early 2022 to 47% in the third quarter of 2024.

Obviously, economic conditions in this country have been trending in the wrong direction for quite a while.

So what will our country look like if we keep going down this path?

At this stage, more than 20 percent of all U.S. renters already have to use “all of their regular income” just to pay the rent…

Just over one in five (22%) U.S. renters say all of their regular income goes directly to paying their rent, according to a recent Redfin-commissioned survey.

Working a second job is also a fairly common way for renters to pay housing costs, with 20% of renters citing that method. Nearly the same share (19%) say they have worked a job they hated to afford rent.

The bottom levels of the economic food chain are getting absolutely crushed.

In a desperate attempt to stay afloat, many Americans are piling up staggering amounts of debt. According to the New York Federal Reserve, total credit card debt in the U.S. just reached another brand new all-time record high…

The book Overrun is a deep dive into how the Biden administration created an illegal migration crisis in only four years.

In recent days I have had time enough to think deeply about what generated this huge mess in a country that had it all. I have a good idea of the whole picture, which I want to share here.

Weaponized migration

However, in recent years, there has been a growing recognition that migration can also be deliberately engineered as a tool of political coercion and destabilization.

Under certain contexts, migration can be weaponized, functioning as a form of “slow violence” that inflicts widespread suffering and undermines the stability of states and societies.

The concept of migration as a weapon of mass destruction may seem hyperbolic, but it is grounded in a growing body of evidence. The infiltration of criminal groups in the migration wave is one of the most blatant pieces of evidence.

By systematically targeting civilian populations, undermining state institutions, and provoking social unrest, actors can exploit migration to achieve a spectrum of strategic objectives. These objectives may include territorial expansion, regime change, or distracting attention from domestic problems.

This has been a behavioral pattern, and the free media and social networks continuously unmask it.

We have in recent history two perfect examples: the displacement of Venezuelan migrants, resulting in turmoil in the streets under the government of President Duque (a known enemy of the Venezuelan regime) in 2017-2018. This chaos disappeared once the guerrilla chief Petro and his gang took over the Presidency.

The same pattern was generated in Chile, with such unrest in the streets never seen in years, only to produce problems in the government of President Piñera (compared by the Venezuelan regime with Pinochet, a known dictator). Once again, as President Boric assumed office, all the turmoil ceased, and there has not been a serious demonstration ever since.

Historically, forced migration has been used also as a tool for ethnic cleansing. In the case of the most recent regimes, the rogue States use it to expel opposition and enemies. The Colombian guerrilla expelled and displaced almost 5 million people only to use their territory as a sanctuary. The leftist ideology once exhibited by these groups lost all the “coating” they had. Their real purpose of existing is to serve as guardians of the humungous drug production business and the corresponding trafficking routes.

Which can be considered an act of war.

Demographic changes

The expulsion of ethnic Germans from Eastern Europe after World War II, the displacement of Palestinians in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar are all examples of how migration has been used to engineer demographic change and consolidate power.

Sadly, the weaponization of migration has evolved in recent years, with new technologies and globalization facilitating more sophisticated forms of population displacement. It is even considered an “asymmetric” kind of weapon. This term means that smaller and weaker parts can use it against the strong opponents and generate in their territory a massive disruption of normality for a prolonged time.

The Syrian civil war provides a particularly striking example of how migration can be used as a weapon of mass destruction. The Assad regime, with the support of Russia, has employed a range of tactics, including indiscriminate bombing, siege warfare, and the targeting of civilian infrastructure, to force millions of Syrians to flee their homes. This mass displacement has not only created a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions but has also had a destabilizing effect on neighboring countries and Europe.

The weaponization of migration is often facilitated by the failure of states to protect their favorite groups of popular revolts, for instance, (Venezuela’s case) with the complicity of external actors (Turkey, Russia, Iran). It’s not the same controlling a population of 35 million instead of one of 28MM.

Weak or failing states are particularly vulnerable to exploitation, as their inability to provide basic services and security can create conditions that are ripe for mass displacement. Moreover, external actors, such as great powers and regional rivals, may support or even instigate conflict to create refugee flows that can be used as leverage.

Managing the influx

The receiving states need to dedicate resources, time, and money to solve problems that they shouldn’t have in the first place.

Just like Venezuelans experienced first-hand, the international community has been slow to respond to the threat posed by the weaponization of migration. While numerous international legal instruments protect refugees and internally displaced persons, these instruments have often proven inadequate in the face of large-scale displacement crises.

Moreover, the global governance system has been unable to develop effective mechanisms for preventing and responding to the deliberate engineering of migration.

In the article that inspired this entry, Dr. Greenhill explains that both migration and refugee flows are the most significant causes of serious armed conflicts in the post-Cold War period.

It is important to remember that despotic regimes have mostly used forced migration: Cuba in the 1965 and 1994 waves and the most famous “shipping” of Mariel refugees in 1980, including all the imprisoned thugs. Jails were emptied.

In other latitudes, extremist groups and authoritarian governments have used the refugee crisis for their political ends, fostering fear and xenophobia. The Syrian crisis is acknowledged as one of the main drivers of Muslim migration to Europe.

The parallelism of the coercion of Turkey to the European Union with the Venezuelan rule attitude is remarkable. The Turkish officials in charge of the deal to include Turkey in the EU made a rude statement to their counterparts to “face the consequences of migration” if they voted against the incorporation of Turkey into the EU. Of course, opening borders to a creeping dictator like Erdogan is not to be taken lightly.

The Venezuelan regime angrily threatened with the “Bolivarian Hurricane”, and Duque, before 2018, as well as Piñera, had to face serious turmoils, including the destruction of public property.

If there is a book and classroom example of weaponized migration, it is this one.

Another painful example is found in the analogies between the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, indicted by the International Criminal Court on charges that he directed a campaign of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and other crimes against humanity during the country’s Darfur conflict and certain South American bus driver we all know by now. Mind you, the Horn of Africa deal with the EU included this despotic Sudanese’s demands.

Look at the mess Europe is heading now.

How to deal with the consequences of forced migration in your area

Migration is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that challenges our societies. The situation gets even more complex when it is used by unscrupulous people as a weapon.

The added value of your regular Joe writing life experiences in worldwide media is that you get the real data you need.

Most of the consequences of uncontrolled migration generated in the short term are petty felonies, homelessness, street begging, drugs, and go as far as home squatting, and serious violent crimes.

We Venezuelans have been dealing with these effects for so long that it’s almost automatic to proceed with the installation of gratings and bars on windows, doors, and other openings where an undesired scoundrel could fit through. Padlocks, CCTV cameras, motion sensors, and all these systems are good tools, but there is another dimension with migrants, and I will explain it.

Talking by experience, we humans like to be part of a clan. It’s part of our brain wiring to feel safe between those we share bonds with.

It’s regrettable that those “clans” sometimes can be nosy, and thugs love to band up, too. Most of the time, the good people in the group don´t even know some of the guys hanging out next to them, perhaps were in jail once or a runaway somewhere else.

That’s why it’s so hard to combat these situations. If you suddenly stumble into a band of migrants, the wisest thing to do is avoid confrontation. No matter how resentful you can be, it’s not the moment to show it. Things can get out of control, and all of the “witnesses” will be against you. Politicians would have a field day exploiting all this. Don’t allow your taxes to be wasted on this.

There are some good people in those groups, also. The familiarity with a language or way of behaving is what makes the bonds within a migrant group strong. If you can bypass the crowd and become invisible, so much better. I just watched a video of one of the major concentrations of Venezuelan migrants in Chile, Calle La Puente, Cal y Canto Metro Station. This is the same crowd that once polluted the Caracas downtown and many other places, like the Boulevard, once an emblematic and high-end restaurant and cafe route. If you cross paths with a group of migrants, open your eyes, and don’t show fear or discomfort. Do what you do as usual. Young guys in numbers can be annoying and total j*rks, no matter the origin. Trust me, I know. But it’s not the moment to be a Karen.

If you want to help someone knocking at your door, ask for some references first (and verify them!) before offering landscaping chores or other jobs. If you have been seeing the same people around for some time, it’s because they will stick to a place where there are jobs. That means they probably have a place to stay and can provide an address.

Don’t allow a guy you see for the first time to get into your backyard. That’s dumb, and if the guy steals your Roomba, it means more work on the desk of an officer. Keep your eyes wide open and analyze facts before conceding trust.

We are facing significant challenges from weaponized migration

In conclusion, the weaponization of migration is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that poses a significant challenge to international security, democracy, and human rights. By understanding the mechanisms through which migration can be used as a tool of political coercion, the Americas can develop more effective strategies for prevention, response, and, especially, protection. The actors involved in the weaponized migration need to understand that implications can and will be punished by international law and policy.

A sultry 23-year-old Colombian woman known as “The Doll” and labeled a “dangerous hitwoman” was arrested in connection to several targeted gangland killings — including the recent ambush murder of her ex-lover, according to local reports.

Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez — known to police by the alias “La Muneca” (“The Doll”) — was cuffed for her alleged involvement in several high-profile murders in the municipality of Barrancabermeja allegedly carried out at the behest of the Los de la M gang, Spanish-language outlet Libertad Digital reported Thursday.

Rodriguez was reportedly in the midst of a career expansion, leading a small cadre of hitmen conducting a reign of terror in the region prior to her arrest, according to a report from Spanish outlet Infobae.

Rodriguez was picked up by police after the July 23 ambush assassination of her ex-boyfriend in a rural area of Colombia known as Piedecuesta, according to Magdalena Medio police.

The femme fatale called her ex, Deyvy Jesus, and invited him to meet so the two could supposedly resolve a money dispute, police said.

But the unsuspecting beau was riddled with bullets when two men drove by on a motorcycle, allegedly at the behest of “The Doll,” the report recounted.

Rodriguez was arrested alongside an accomplice, Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, 24, who is known under the alias “Gorda Sicaria” (“Fat Hitwoman”), according to Libertad Digital.

Another accomplice, identified as “Leopoldo,” was taken into custody at the same time as “The Doll” — with police saying they seized a revolver and a 9-millimeter pistol during the arrest. […]

During a discussion with Todd Starnes, Roy revealed that excuses are already surfacing among the GOP lawmakers as to why they won’t fully endorse Trump’s policies. Roy predicted a quiet resistance to Trump is forming within his party, unless significant pressure is applied to carry out Trump’s agenda.

“I think that Republicans in Congress are gonna give lip service to backing the president’s agenda and behind the scenes they’re going to be stonewalling it unless some of us can kick them right in the rear end and make them deliver,” Roy said. “That’s my blunt assessment. Truth is, you’re already hearing excuses. Well, we don’t have 60 votes in the Senate. You’re already hearing some of my colleagues say, ‘Well, we can’t do, you know, broad mass deportations,’ which by the way I think effectively just call it what it is, repatriation.”

Roy pointed out recent legislative actions that he believes would immediately bankrupt important programs.

“You can’t just write another blank check. They just voted for $200 billion to re-shift Social Security funding from some people to others, which will cause their security to be bankrupt six months earlier,” Roy told Starnes. “This is the natural way of things for Republicans in Washington. They need to understand they will change their ways or they will lose power. That’s it. I’m gonna be on the side of change. I’m gonna be on the side of disrupting the status quo.”

The U.S. House of Representatives approved the bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act, which aims to abolish two outdated rules that diminish benefits for public sector workers, according to Yahoo Finance. Initially introduced in 2023, the bill now advances to the Senate with substantial bipartisan backing and, if enacted, will incur an estimated cost of $196 billion over 10 years.

Roy voiced his support for a substantial faction within the party that is eager to advance Trump’s policies. However, he warned, “There’s a large block here who want to do it, and I think some people here in this conference are in for a rude awakening.”

Roy also touched on broader frustrations with federal funding practices, emphasizing his discontent with taxpayer money supporting (National Public Radio) NPR through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

“I own a news talk radio station in Memphis, Tennessee. One of the things that angers me is the money I earn from my private business goes to fund competition across the street over at NPR, and I would love, I’ve already sent a message to Elon and Vivek, I would love for them to just dismantle the funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting,” Roy said.

Consider just a small sampling of the tools being used to track our movements, monitor our spending, and sniff out all the ways in which our thoughts, actions and social circles might land us on the government’s naughty list, whether or not you’ve done anything wrong.

Tracking you based on your phone and movements: Cell phones have become de facto snitches, offering up a steady stream of digital location data on users’ movements and travels. For instance, the FBI was able to use geofence data to identify more than 5,000 mobile devices (and their owners) in a 4-acre area around the Capitol on January 6. This latest surveillance tactic could land you in jail for being in the “wrong place and time.” Police are also using cell-site simulators to carry out mass surveillance of protests without the need for a warrant. Moreover, federal agents can now employ a number of hacking methods in order to gain access to your computer activities and “see” whatever you’re seeing on your monitor. Malicious hacking software can also be used to remotely activate cameras and microphones, offering another means of glimpsing into the personal business of a target.

Tracking you based on your DNA. DNA technology in the hands of government officials completes our transition to a Surveillance State. If you have the misfortune to leave your DNA traces anywhere a crime has been committed, you’ve already got a file somewhere in some state or federal database—albeit it may be a file without a name. By accessing your DNA, the government will soon know everything else about you that they don’t already know: your family chart, your ancestry, what you look like, your health history, your inclination to follow orders or chart your own course, etc. After all, a DNA print reveals everything about “who we are, where we come from, and who we will be.” It can also be used to predict the physical appearance of potential suspects. It’s only a matter of time before the police state’s pursuit of criminals expands into genetic profiling and a preemptive hunt for criminals of the future.

Tracking you based on your face: Facial recognition software aims to create a society in which every individual who steps out into public is tracked and recorded as they go about their daily business. Coupled with surveillance cameras that blanket the country, facial recognition technology allows the government and its corporate partners to identify and track someone’s movements in real-time. One particularly controversial software program created by Clearview AI has been used by police, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to collect photos on social media sites for inclusion in a massive facial recognition database. Similarly, biometric software, which relies on one’s unique identifiers (fingerprints, irises, voice prints), is becoming the standard for navigating security lines, as well as bypassing digital locks and gaining access to phones, computers, office buildings, etc. In fact, greater numbers of travelers are opting into programs that rely on their biometrics in order to avoid long waits at airport security. Scientists are also developing lasers that can identify and surveil individuals based on their heartbeats, scent and microbiome.

Tracking you based on your behavior: Rapid advances in behavioral surveillance are not only making it possible for individuals to be monitored and tracked based on their patterns of movement or behavior, including gait recognition (the way one walks), but have given rise to whole industries that revolve around predicting one’s behavior based on data and surveillance patterns and are also shaping the behaviors of whole populations. One smart “anti-riot” surveillance system purports to predict mass riots and unauthorized public events by using artificial intelligence to analyze social media, news sources, surveillance video feeds and public transportation data.

Tracking you based on your spending and consumer activities: With every smartphone we buy, every GPS device we install, every X/Twitter, Facebook, and Google account we open, every frequent buyer card we use for purchases—whether at the grocer’s, the yogurt shop, the airlines or the department store—and every credit and debit card we use to pay for our transactions, we’re helping Corporate America build a dossier for its government counterparts on who we know, what we think, how we spend our money, and how we spend our time. Consumer surveillance, by which your activities and data in the physical and online realms are tracked and shared with advertisers, has become big business, a $300 billion industry that routinely harvests your data for profit. Corporations such as Target have not only been tracking and assessing the behavior of their customers, particularly their purchasing patterns, for years, but the retailer has also funded major surveillance in cities across the country and developed behavioral surveillance algorithms that can determine whether someone’s mannerisms might fit the profile of a thief.

Tracking you based on your public activities: Private corporations in conjunction with police agencies throughout the country have created a web of surveillance that encompasses all major cities in order to monitor large groups of people seamlessly, as in the case of protests and rallies. They are also engaging in extensive online surveillance, looking for any hints of “large public events, social unrest, gang communications, and criminally predicated individuals.” Defense contractors have been at the forefront of this lucrative market. Fusion centers, $330 million-a-year, information-sharing hubs for federal, state and law enforcement agencies, monitor and report such “suspicious” behavior as people buying pallets of bottled water, photographing government buildings, and applying for a pilot’s license as “suspicious activity.”

Tracking you based on your social media activities: Every move you make, especially on social media, is monitored, mined for data, crunched, and tabulated in order to form a picture of who you are, what makes you tick, and how best to control you when and if it becomes necessary to bring you in line. As The Intercept reported, the FBI, CIA, NSA and other government agencies are increasingly investing in and relying on corporate surveillance technologies that can mine constitutionally protected speech on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in order to identify potential extremists and predict who might engage in future acts of anti-government behavior. This obsession with social media as a form of surveillance will have some frightening consequences in coming years. As Helen A.S. Popkin, writing for NBC News, observed, “We may very well face a future where algorithms bust people en masse for referencing illegal ‘Game of Thrones’ downloads… the new software has the potential to roll, Terminator-style, targeting every social media user with a shameful confession or questionable sense of humor.”

Tracking you based on your social network: Not content to merely spy on individuals through their online activity, government agencies are now using surveillance technology to track one’s social network, the people you might connect with by phone, text message, email or through social message, in order to ferret out possible criminals. An FBI document obtained by Rolling Stone speaks to the ease with which agents are able to access address book data from Facebook’s WhatsApp and Apple’s iMessage services from the accounts of targeted individuals and individuals not under investigation who might have a targeted individual within their network. What this creates is a “guilt by association” society in which we are all as guilty as the most culpable person in our address book.

Tracking you based on your car: License plate readers are mass surveillance tools that can photograph over 1,800 license tag numbers per minute, take a picture of every passing license tag number and store the tag number and the date, time, and location of the picture in a searchable database, then share the data with law enforcement, fusion centers and private companies to track the movements of persons in their cars. With tens of thousands of these license plate readers now in operation throughout the country, affixed to overpasses, cop cars and throughout business sectors and residential neighborhoods, it allows police to track vehicles and run the plates through law enforcement databases for abducted children, stolen cars, missing people and wanted fugitives. Of course, the technology is not infallible: there have been numerous incidents in which police have mistakenly relied on license plate data to capture out suspects only to end up detaining innocent people at gunpoint.

Tracking you based on your mail: Just about every branch of the government—from the Postal Service to the Treasury Department and every agency in between—now has its own surveillance sector, authorized to spy on the American people. For instance, the U.S. Postal Service, which has been photographing the exterior of every piece of paper mail for the past 20 years, is also spying on Americans’ texts, emails and social media posts. Headed up by the Postal Service’s law enforcement division, the Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) is reportedly using facial recognition technology, combined with fake online identities, to ferret out potential troublemakers with “inflammatory” posts. The agency claims the online surveillance, which falls outside its conventional job scope of processing and delivering paper mail, is necessary to help postal workers avoid “potentially volatile situations.”

Now the government wants us to believe that we have nothing to fear from these mass spying programs as long as we’ve done nothing wrong.

Don’t believe it.

The government’s definition of a “bad” guy is extraordinarily broad, and it results in the warrantless surveillance of innocent, law-abiding Americans on a staggering scale.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, surveillance, digital stalking and the data mining of the American people—weapons of compliance and control in the government’s hands—haven’t made America any safer. And they certainly aren’t helping to preserve our freedoms.

Indeed, America will never be safe as long as the U.S. government is allowed to shred the Constitution.

(End of the American Dream)—A mysterious disease that produces “flu-like” symptoms and that is killing a very high percentage of those that it infects has suddenly appeared in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and scientists have no idea what it is.  So far, this mystery disease does not appear to be related to H5N1, monkeypox, Ebola, the Marburg virus or any of the other deadly bugs that are currently spreading around the globe. Perhaps after more testing is done, scientists will discover that there is a very simple explanation after all.  And let us hope that this new outbreak turns out to be fairly insignificant in the grand scheme of things.  But in Matthew 24, Jesus did warn us that there would be multiple “pestilences” in the days just before His return.  So when a new disease suddenly appears and starts killing lots of people, it is worth keeping an eye on.

The epicenter for this outbreak is right along the Democratic Republic of Congo’s border with Angola, and we are being told that dozens of victims are already dead…

AN UNKNOWN “flu-like” disease targeting women and children has killed 143 within two weeks.

Those infected in Congo have suffered from symptoms including high fever and severe headaches with the World Health Organisation launching an urgent probe.

Deaths are being recorded in Kwango province, situated in the Southwest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and on its border with Angola.

If this mystery disease is “targeting women and children”, does that mean that adult men are not being affected? Hopefully we can get some clarification on that.

It is being reported that a total of 376 people have gotten sick so far, but it is not clear how they were able to determine that everyone has the same thing if they are not able to identify the disease…

The country’s health ministry also warned people to wash their hands regularly with soap and water and not to touch dead bodies.

A total of 376 people have been sickened in the outbreak, that has hit Kwango province in the southwest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

It is very early in this outbreak, and so the numbers that we are being given are very fluid.

But if there really are 143 total dead out of 376 total victims, that is a very, very high death rate.

Many of the symptoms that victims are experiencing are exactly what you would expect if you caught the normal flu…

Patients are mostly children over 15 years old, officials say, and are suffering from a flu-like illness with symptoms including a fever, headache, nasal discharge, cough, difficulty breathing and anemia — or a lack of healthy red blood cells.

I don’t see anything there that would set it apart from normal winter illnesses.

And that also makes it potentially extremely dangerous.

We shall see how this plays out.

For now, one local leader is warning that “the number of infected people is increasing” and that people are literally dropping dead in their own homes…

Civil society leader Cephorien Manzanza said that the situation on the ground is extremely worrying as the number of infected people is increasing. “Panzi is a rural health zone, so there is a problem with the supply of medicines,” Manzanza said.

Due to a lack of medical facilities and a dilapidated health infrastructure, infected people are forced to die in their homes.

A local epidemiologist said women and children were the most seriously affected by the disease.

This sounds very serious.

But let’s not jump to any conclusions quite yet.

Tests are being conducted on this new disease, and authorities are promising to release results as soon as they can…

The Ministry added in its update: ‘Laboratory test results will be communicated as soon as they are available, and regular updates will be shared with the population and partners.

‘Pending the conclusions of the ongoing investigations, the Ministry calls on the population to remain calm, vigilant and to strictly respect the… preventive measures.’

Of course this new outbreak comes at a time when the Democratic Republic of Congo is already struggling to contain an unprecedented monkeypox outbreak…

Meanwhile, the DRC is also contending with a major mpox outbreak, which was declared a public health emergency of international concern in August. In early November, the total number of suspected mpox cases across the continent of Africa topped 50,000, with the DRC bearing a high percentage of those cases.

Scientists are telling us that this new strain of the monkeypox spreads much more easily than the strain that caused so many problems around the globe in 2022, and it also has a much higher death rate.

So I am keeping a very close eye on that too.

Meanwhile, the Marburg virus has gotten loose in Rwanda…

Marburg, also termed as the ‘Bleeding Eye’s virus due to one of its symptoms (bleeding of the eye), has killed 15 people in Rwanda and has left hundreds of them infected, reports The Mirror.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) identifies the disease to be severe, often resulting in fatal illness in humans. “The average MVD case fatality rate is around 50%. Case fatality rates have varied from 24% to 88% in past outbreaks,” the WHO says in a report which was updated in October 2024.

After what we went through earlier in this decade, I know that there are lots of people out there that don’t want to hear this sort of news.

But if we really are living in the end times, major pestilences will be a major theme.  Jesus specifically warned us about this in Matthew 24.  He didn’t give us this warning so that we would be afraid.  He gave us this warning so that we would not be afraid.

If you understand what is coming, you can get prepared for it.

Sadly, most of the population is not interested in such warnings, and so when the next great global health crisis reaches our shores they will be completely blind-sided by it.

Data going back to the turn of the millennium shows that Greenland’s ice-covered sub-regions have been getting incrementally colder year after year. Greenland’s ice-free sub-regions, conversely, have ever-so-slightly warmed during the same time period due to an increase in “population density.”

The findings, which are based on more than 31,000 satellite recordings, suggest that a “total collapse” of the Greenland ice sheet is not going to happen in the next few months like the World Economic Forum (WEF) claims.

(Related: Earlier this year, a climate professor by the name of Bill McGuire tweeted that he thinks “culling” the human population is the only way to prevent a climate collapse.)

Antarctica barely warmed in 70 years

But that’s just Greenland, some people are probably saying to themselves about the new research. Well, think again because similar data was pulled out of Antarctica, which has barely warmed over the past 70 years of detailed observations.

At both the North and South Poles, climate conditions are hardly as dire as the climate cultists would have us all believe. At worst, there is very slight warming in some spots, but this is countered by very slight cooling in others.

It is almost as if the climate is always fluctuating and that this is a completely normal phenomenon that should not scare people but interest them about the way our natural world works.

Overall, the Thai mathematicians found “no evidence of warming over ice-free and ice-covered areas” in Greenland other than very minor deviations that are probably just statistical margins of error more than anything else. The same is true about the Antarctic, which means there is no global warming taking place.

The very minor changes being observed around Greenland can be attributed to “natural variability rather than anthropogenic forcing,” the scientists say.

“Most climate models were unable to reasonably simulate the unforced natural variability over Greenland,” they add.

As for Antarctica, every so often some ice melts and breaks off, particularly in the western part of the region, which drums up fears about a “tipping point.” These fears are unsubstantiated, though, especially after international scientists involved with another study found that Antarctica, like Greenland, is actually cooling somewhat.

The American Meteorological Society discovered a 2°C decrease in temperatures over the 20-year period that ended in 2018. During the spring season, the temperature decrease was 1.84°C every decade. During the winter, it was a 1.19°C decrease over the same time period.

As usual, carbon dioxide is rarely mentioned in papers and articles about cooling temperatures because that molecule is only maligned when temperatures are warning. When the data shows cooling rather than warming, scientists start admitting that the climate naturally variates and that CO2 has nothing to do with it.

Amazingly, a similar scenario is unfolding around the world’s equatorial region which is likewise seeing temperature cooling rather than warming. How will they explain that one?

“I cannot understand why politicians who have access to all of this information pander to them,” one commenter wrote, “them” referring to the climate lunatics pushing climate nonsense.

“Why doesn’t a single leading politician from across Europe stand up like Trump and say that we all bought in to the lies of a cult but we now know that the polar regions are not melting uncontrollably, the sea is not boiling and corals are quite okay, not a single person has drowned in rising seas. A few days ago, someone on this site posed the question: What are they really targeting in 2030, because it is not climate change, so what else is it?”
