Trump’s lawyer, Alina Habba, stated in an interview on Thursday that she anticipates facing an “onslaught of litigation” with less than 35 days remaining until the presidential election.
Habba’s comments came in response to special counsel Jack Smith’s 165-page filing, which was unsealed on Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, D.C. Trump’s campaign has contended that Smith’s prosecution regarding Trump’s actions on January 6, 2021, is politically motivated, The Hill reported.
In an interview with Jesse Watters of Fox News, the attorney and spokeswoman for former President Donald Trump called the actions by the Department of Justice an act of “desperation.”
“The Department of Justice has been complicit, and we’ve said this numerous times, but Americans pay attention: We have 30-plus days until an election. We are going to be hit with an onslaught of fake news. We are going to be hit with an onslaught of litigation,” Habba told Watters. […]
