The Department of Defense appears to be on the defensive as they ordered an industrial shredder the day after the 2024 election. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so potentially damaging to the incoming Trump administration’s ability to hold corrupt politicians and bureaucrats accountable.

It is quite possible that the timing of this order is coincidence. It’s also possible that the industrial shredder being ordered is for metal and plastic waste; the term “industrial shredder” can mean large paper shredders or actual heavy equipment. But it’s telling that if you told your average American that the Department of Defense ordered an industrial shredder to destroy documents immediately after learning that Donald Trump had won the 2024 election, nobody would be surprised.
